WEEK 8 Reflection

Hello and good day. This is the week after our mid semester break and this class was conducted by Dr Khalid and the topic of this day is interesting. The topic will be on the Windows movie maker and Dr Khalid will teach us on how to use it, explore and guide on helping us editing a video for today's activity. I was excited to learn this and acquire the skills needed because it will be interesting to see the outcome.

After learning about the movie maker, Dr Khalid told us to edit a video of our own and compile it to show to the class. I did mine on The Deception Entertainment which I did post it on MOOC under this course. Dr Khalid told us to state the purpose and the target audience for the video. This activity was interesting and very enjoyable to do. Thanks to Dr Khalid.

Week 6 Reflection

Hello and good day. This is week 6 and the class was conducted by Dr Khalid which will be about the principles of media. Dr Khalid asked us about our opinion and knowledge on this topic which has a lot of feedback from us then he showed us 2 videos that during the class.

The first video was about travel vlog using action camera which involve a lot of movement for that video. The main purpose of this is because he wanted to show us how to insert the suitable song for the video which was exciting to see.

The second video that was made by Dr Khalid himself and it was his holiday with his family in Death Valley, USA which was beautiful and lovely to see

After watching the video, Dr Khalid ask our opinion on the video and share our opinion in front of the class. The next activity was interesting which involves us editing some video with the guide of Dr. Khalid to compile in some songs in the video that we choose to edit. Dr Khalid share his knowledge on where to get mp3 format which is Listen to Youtube that directly convert song video to mp3 format and download it which I was surprise and still use till this day. I thank Dr Khalid for this amazing guide. The second application that Dr Khalid told is Audacity and it is free to download and use which is helpful in this activity. This was an amazing and interesting activity by Dr Khalid.

WEEK 5 Reflection Edu Tech

This class was conducted by Dr Fariza and it is unfortunate that I was unable to attend it because I had to go back to my home town which is Sarawak because there was one of family member's wedding so my flight was on this day but I obtain the information needed that was conducted for the class from my friends and was very helpful and delighted to help me out. 

I learned that the topic on this day was about traditional media which was the old school way of obtaining knowledge that consist of the radio, television or even newspaper. The traditional way can be more reliable because nowadays there are lots of media we can use but few gives the right message or the correct one to the audience. I had some experience with these and most of my teachers back then didn't use different type of media. But most generation nowadays may find it boring because they will be more attracted to the new media and will be able to deliver the message more effectively such as using video, sounds, slide show and more type of media. I also heard that there was a presentation for each group on this topic and it was unfortunate that I had missed it.

Week 4 Reflection

During this class, we are told to discuss with our group members to brainstorm the idea on our video project. We did drawing for our story line of the video and will have the present after that. Our groups did our best to think of the story line and Faizah did the drawing that actually looks very good. She did her best and shown her skill in drawing. These are couple of pictures on our story line.

These are the picture of our story line drawing and we present it after that in front of the class. Each group will have to present and explain the story line. After each group present, we were given nasi lemak from our lecturer for our meal. Thank you Dr!

WEEK 3 - Reflection

This class will be more about the examples of the video presentation that will be our assignment for this course. Dr.Rosseni will be giving lecture for this class and she started off by giving us time to do our reflection for the last week during this class which was good for us and have the time to complete it.

After doing the reflection, Dr. Rosseni showed us few videos as an example for our group project and there are lots of video made by our senior which are interesting and very good. It was a good example and gave us idea on what to do for the project. This lecture has been very helpful and also can give creativity for our video presentation.

Week 2 Reflection Educational Technology

Week 2 Reflection (2nd Class)

This is the second class which will be handle by Dr Fariza on 4th March (Friday). She also introduce one of the lecturer that will also be with us for the course that is Dr. Khalid.

Dr.Fariza briefly explain on this course and the importance of reflection that will give lots of marks and explain in depth how to make a good reflection in the power point slides. She further explain on making the best reflections for our references. She also told us that we can use different type of media to make our reflection for example, Blogger, Wordpress, Weebly and many more that we can use and I decided to use blogger because it is more convenient and I had experience using this media.

Our reflections need to be done every week for each class for this course and Dr. Fariza gave a good tip on doing reflection that will help us. I am looking forward for the next class for this subject and it will be interesting.

Dr. Fariza also told us on our field trip for this class and wants us to decide where to go for this field trip. I am excited for this field trip and hope for the best.

Week 1 Reflection

Educational Technology 1st's Class

This is a reflection for this subject which is the first class of this semester and the subject looks interesting. To be honest, I was absent for the first class due to going for a trip to Cameron Highlands so I asked few of my classmate that attend the first class and I was able to do the first week reflection thanks to them.

During the first class, our lecturer introduce and did an ice breaking session with the class. She then explain the basics of the course to them and also introduce padlet to introduce our self there. We also need to register our account in MOOC and join the course of Educational Technology to be updated for our class activities and to post our URL for our reflections every week.

I am looking forward for this class and learn a lot more about technologies which can help me in the future. This class will be exciting and interesting.
